Choir records new CD
After many months of preparation and organisation, on Friday 22nd and Saturday 23rd July 2011, the choir recorded a new CD at St. Cynhafal’s Church, Llangynhafal, Near Denbigh. The venue was chosen after the choir had performed at a wedding in the Church a few months ago. The acoustics there were found to be so good that it seemed to be the natural place to make the recording.
Once again, Mike Evans, Director of Black Mountain Records Limited, Swansea was engaged as Producer for the CD, with Jim Williams of ‘Wow & Flutter, Oswestry being the recording engineer. Their extensive experience, coupled with their humorous and professional approach made the recording a very enjoyable experience which went like clockwork.
We were blessed with excellent weather on the two days, which helped a great deal.
Although the recording itself is completed, there is still a lot of work to be done before the CD can be released under the title of ‘Voices from the Vale’. The best estimate for its release at the moment is in about two to three months. We will announce the release on our web site, so please keep checking these pages. Details of how to order the CD will also be on the web site..
As with any venture of this kind, a lot of people have helped in many ways. The choir would like to thank the following;-
The Rector, Parochial Church Council and members of St Cynhafal’s Church. Llangynhafal for kindly allowing us the use of the church.
Mr & Mrs Jones, Plas Yn Llan Farm, Llangynhafal for kindly allowing the choir to park on their yard and land.
Alwyn Jones for use of his touring caravan to prepare refreshments.
Alwyn, Gronwy Wynne, Brenda and Mauveena for making and supplying the refreshments.
Hywel Evans, Photographer, of Trewen, Denbigh for attending and photographing the choir.
And last, but certainly not least, Arwyn Roberts, our Musical Director, and Joyce Davies, our excellent accompanist, for all their dedication and hard work in getting the choir to such a standard to be able to make the recording.

With Christmas coming up, the new CD would make an excellent present or stocking filler.
